Ebates – Get Money Back!

Sign up free for Ebates at http://www.ebates.com/ Let them know I referred you (use my email address).

Whenever you want to shop on the internet, log into your ebates account. From there, navigate to the web site that you want to buy items from. You will then link to the website directly and shop as you normally would shop. A few days after you purchase, a cash rebate will get credited back to you for a percentage of the purchase price, not including tax or shipping costs.

Examples of web sites that you earn rebates from include Expedia (1%), Petco (6%), Sony (4%), Apple (1%), Circuit City (2%) and OldNavy.Com (3%). This web site also has online only coupons that you can apply to save even more on these purchases. This is not a scam. In the past 3 years of sparse shopping, I have earned over $330 for doing nothing more than link to websites where I would have gone anyways. Examples of recent cash backs for me include CoffeeForLess.Com ($1.82), OldNavy.Com ($2.34), Dell Small Business ($3.69), and cash from LandsEnd, Sephora, The Tire Rack, and several from 1-800-Flowers. This is completely safe, and ebates does not use your email address for SPAM.

American Express Warranty

I had a client recently who had a Dell laptop that was a year and 3 months old. Her son had accidentally stepped on it and broke the screen. When she purchased the laptop, she used her AMEX card but only bought a one year warranty (which is almost always recommended by me). She was all set to throw it out because to get a new LCD and install it would have probably cost more than a new laptop. Instead, I had her call AMEX and ask about if this was covered by any additional warranty service, and it was! AMEX told her to get it repaired and they would reimburse her the cost!
